Southern Pecan Pie

 1 unbaked pie shell
 1 cup dark corn syrup
 ¾ cup sugar
 3 tbsp butter
 3 eggs, slightly beaten
 1 tsp vanilla
 1 cup pecans or hickory nuts

Beat eggs in mixing bowl. Add sugar, syrup, butter and vanilla. Add pecans or hickory nuts. Pour into pie shell. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes until done.
