Kentucky Fried Corn

Yields1 Serving

 5 ears of fresh corn, cut off the cob
 3 tbsp flour
 1 tsp salt
 1 ½ cups water
 ¼ tsp pepper
 3 tbsp bacon drippings
 2 tbsp sugar


Combine all ingredients, except bacon drippings; stir to blend. Melt drippings in a large iron skillet. Add corn mixture and simmer on low heat for about 40 minutes.
